Nebraska needs Conrad
Sen. Danielle Conrad is an asset to the 46th District and to Nebraska. I have known Danielle and worked with her for more than 10 years. I am not surprised her legislative colleagues have trusted her experience and judgment with not one but four leadership roles, including a seat on the powerful Appropriations Committee.
Sen. Conrad is a lifelong Nebraskan who knows and shares our values. She takes responsibility for her decisions, is forthright about her actions and takes corrections as needed.
Sen. Conrad has built relationships with senators on all sides of the political spectrum and gets things done. These attributes cannot be undervalued as our state faces difficult times and a term-limited Legislature where knowledge is necessary and valuable. We need her experience and wisdom as long as the law allows her to serve.

Students for Conrad
As students at the University of Nebraska, we encourage our fellow students to vote for Sen. Danielle Conrad. She is a lifelong Nebraskan, a graduate of UNL and a graduate of the University of Nebraska College of Law.
She has been an unwavering supporter of ensuring our university and community colleges have the state aid they need to keep tuition affordable. She also introduced common-sense legislation to make textbooks tax exempt in partnership with student groups and families.
Another challenge students face is finding a good job in Nebraska after graduation. Conrad is the chairwoman of an economic task force to improve opportunities for entrepreneurs, innovation and high-wage jobs that will help stop Nebraska's brain drain.
Conrad is the right choice for students and their families in the state Legislature.

It's a vote for you
A vote for Danielle Conrad is a vote for you.
Experience matters.
She has worked hard to lower taxes, protect jobs and keep north neighborhoods strong.
She helped pass the largest tax cut in Nebraska history, which includes property tax relief and elimination of the marriage tax penalty, and she passed an increase in the state minimum wage and co-sponsored legislation to exempt Social Security from state income tax.
I hope others will join me in voting for you.

Vote for Conrad
I want to thank the LJS editorial board for its recent endorsement of Danielle Conrad for state senator for District 46 ("Endorsements for Legislature," Oct. 10). I have known Conrad for almost 20 years and can say with the utmost respect that I'm proud to not only have her as my good friend, but as a great senator for North Lincoln.
She has always put the good people of Lincoln and of Nebraska first and never bowed to political outsiders' agendas. Her knowledge as a member of the Appropriations Committee has helped reduce taxes during an economic recession while still balancing a statewide budget. That kind of leadership helps all working men and women throughout Nebraska.
I urge others to join the Vlcek family in voting and returning Danielle Conrad to the Nebraska Legislature.

Conrad solves challenges
Sen. Danielle Conrad has a clear track record of someone who works across the aisle to get things done.
In her first term, she worked with Republicans and Democrats to pass the largest tax cut in Nebraska history. She also partnered with people like Sen. John Harms from Scottsbluff to expand programs for prostate and breast cancer screening and treatment.
In our current era of political bickering and divisiveness, it is refreshing to see an elected official reach across the aisle to work to solve challenges in our state in a positive manner. It is important that we re-elect Conrad , a true independent voice, on Nov. 2.

Keep North Lincoln strong
North Lincoln is comprised of many diverse, unique and historic neighborhoods. I am writing to support Sen. Danielle Conrad, who worked tirelessly and successfully to save $10 million in proposed cuts to the Affordable Housing Trust Fund that protects affordable housing projects and helps homeowners with down payment assistance and foreclosure prevention.
This program keeps core neighborhoods strong and vibrant. She has earned my vote, and I hope other people who care about strong neighborhoods in North Lincoln will join me and cast their vote for Sen. Conrad this fall.
